Frustration is only possible when you neither accept a given situation, nor take any decisive action.

Frustration allows you to indulge your indignation, without any accountability. You complain about it, you feel vindicated, you feel righteous, but in the end, you’re completely helpless. You can only be frustrated by adopting the role of the victim.

If you can take some kind of action to positively affect the situation, then you should do that. If you can’t or don’t want to take action, and you would like to be peaceful and productive rather than angry and agitated, then you must accept the situation as it is.

Acceptance doesn’t mean that you like the situation, it just means you alter your expectations so that you are not frustrated and disappointed every day.

To eliminate frustration, either accept your situation or take decisive action.

INSPIRATION FROM OTHERS

“Expectation is the mother of all frustration.” – Antonio Banderas

“It’s hardly possible to build anything if frustration, bitterness and a mood of helplessness prevail.” – Lech Walesa
