It’s never been more important to sound distinctive, and yet it’s also never been more difficult to do so. There are millions of people like you, who have an almost limitless number of platforms to speak about almost anything.

Even in your own organization, there are likely many people competing for the attention of your key stakeholders. In that context, sounding distinctive is not just important, it’s an absolute imperative.

You need to say something original, or you’ll get lost in the noise. You want to speak less but say more.

What if you have nothing distinctive to say? Then focus on the work until you do.

It’s great to be a subject matter expert, but if you want to be heard, you have to sound distinctive.
